About the Artist

My name is Alon Weiss, from Ontario, Canada. I’ve been drawing art for as long as I can remember; superheroes, monsters and sci-fi being my favorite subject matter. The art that defined my youth was the pencil medium, everything drawn in black and white.

College is where all that changed, where in my graphic design studies I got introduced to Photoshop. At first it was all commercial. My professional work consisting of product and event marketing material creating dynamic photo compositions.

Then when I got my first Wacom tablet, my creative potential had been opened up to new worlds of limitless possibilities. Bringing all I learned in the digital media to my old pencil craft, I’ve seen my art grow just in the past 30 months in ways 14-year-old me could never imagine. From black and white to fully realized visions of color, depth, style, and expression. Even now I’m still learning so much and loving every step of this ongoing journey.

Or… another description to my life’s story is I got assimilated by the Tablet Collective. Because resistance is futile.

Titles that I’ve enjoyed the most are Spiderman, Fantastic Four (John Byrne being my favorite era), Captain America, X-Men, Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Sandman (Neil Gaiman), Swamp Thing (the Alan Moore era) Watchmen, Spawn, Red Sonja… much like before, among many others.

80’s – Transformers, Spiderman and His Amazing Friends, Thundercats, and Robotech.

90’s – Macross Plus, Akira, Ghost in the Shell, and what is my favorite cartoon of all time, GARGOYLES.

In the New Millenium – Avatar the Last Airbender, Castlevania, Demon Slayer and My Hero Academia.

The Dark Knight (I rank as BEST superhero movie to date), Wonder Woman, Superman (the Christopher Reeve classic), LOTR trilogy, Star Wars ep. 4-6, Captain America the Winter Soldier, Avengers Endgame, X-Men First Class, Terminator 1 and 2, and E.T.

Though my all-time favorite movie, which is outside of the superhero and fantasy genre, is The Shawshank Redemption.

Currently playing Cyberpunk 2077 and always been a huge RPG fan; Mass Effect trilogy, Dragon Age, The Witcher series, Knights of the Old Republic, and Skyrim. Also love love love the Batman Arkham trilogy and Tomb Raider games.
