ORIGIN STORY

About the Artist

FROM HUMBLE BEGINNINGS

My name is Alon Weiss, from Ontario, Canada. I’ve been drawing art for as long as I can remember; superheroes, monsters and sci-fi being my favorite subject matter. The art that defined my youth was the pencil medium, everything drawn in black and white.

College is where all that changed, where in my graphic design studies I got introduced to Photoshop. At first it was all commercial. My professional work consisting of product and event marketing material creating dynamic photo compositions.

Then when I got my first Wacom tablet, my creative potential had been opened up to new worlds of limitless possibilities. Bringing all I learned in the digital media to my old pencil craft, I’ve seen my art grow just in the past 30 months in ways 14-year-old me could never imagine. From black and white to fully realized visions of color, depth, style, and expression. Even now I’m still learning so much and loving every step of this ongoing journey.

Or… another description to my life’s story is I got assimilated by the Tablet Collective. Because resistance is futile.
